Plenary Panel: Chicago Cultural Organizations Research Network (CCORN)

Friday, July 20, 2018  |  9:00am - 10:00am

The Chicago Cultural Organizations Research Network (CCORN) was established in 2012 by Dr. Suzanne Gaskins, now professor emeritus at Northeastern Illinois University, in an effort to build a community of researchers and evaluators working in or with Chicago area cultural institutions. The network includes a diverse group of members from museums, colleges and universities, and external research and evaluation firms. CCORN brings together seasoned and novice professionals to discuss a variety of topics related to understanding visitor behavior and learning.

We have identified four members of CCORN who represent the diversity of professionals that make up this local research and evaluation network: Cecilia Garibay, Jerry Luebke, Therese Quinn, and Berverly Serrell.  Each of these members offers a unique perspective on our field, representing both different approaches to an contexts for evaluation.

VSA aims to highlight exciting initiatives happening in its conference city, and we are inspired by CCORN's collective efforts to build a community of researchers and evaluators working in or with Chicago area cultural institutions.
