Application Procedures and Form

 

Background: The 2008 Student Scholarship consists of a waiver of the conference registration fee for the Visitor Studies Conference in Houston, Texas, July 15 - 19, 2008. The Student Scholarship Program promotes student participation in the Visitor Studies Association by supporting attendance at the Annual Conference. A limited number of Student Scholarships are available to student members of VSA to help them attend their first Visitor Studies Conference. Applications will be evaluated on the basis of the applicant's potential to contribute to the growth of VSA and the field of visitor studies. Application deadline is March 1, 2008. All applicants will be notified of their standing by April 1, 2008.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for the Student Scholarship, applicants must:

• Be a student member of the Visitor Studies Association. (An applicant may join VSA when applying for the scholarship. Click here for information about membership.);
  
• Have not attended a previous Visitor Studies conference;
